Biography
Michelle Thomas, a graduate of Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School at the University of Buffalo, holds her Teacher’s Certificate in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Acrobatics and serves as the Adjunct Professor of Dance at Liberty University.
She is a 25 Year Member and National Certified Examiner of D.M.A. (Dance Masters of America), D.E.A. (Dance Educators of America), and C.C.A. (Cecchetti Council of America) where she holds her ballet teacher’s certification through the professional level. Michelle is the artistic director and owner of Forest Dance Academy and her students have gone on to have many successful careers including Radio City Rockettes, cruise ships & touring with Ailey II. After many years of teaching, directing, and choreographing in her own school, Michelle transitioned into the Theatre Arts education faculty at Liberty where she teaches Ballet/Modern, Tap/Jazz & Musical Theatre.
Mrs. Thomas enjoys sharing her vast knowledge and passion for the dance arts with the students at LU who are seeking to glorify God while further developing their technical dance abilities.
