B.A. or B.S. in Dance

Residential Dance Program

Follow your passion for dance and fine-tune your skills with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Liberty University. Here, you’ll develop technical expertise and creativity as you learn to use dance as a form of worship and artistic expression.

Through a curriculum that blends advanced technical training and performance opportunities, you can grow as a diversely trained movement artist. With this degree, you can study a variety of dance styles and techniques while exploring the connections between dance, culture, health and wellness, and faith. Our comprehensive approach is designed to broaden your skill set as you prepare for a career in the artistic industry.

Our Dance Professors

This program is taught by experienced professors who have performed, choreographed, and worked with professional dance organizations nationally and internationally. Dedicated to both artistic excellence and their Christian faith, our faculty are committed to helping you develop the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to succeed as a dance artist.

• Three dance studios, two of which are dedicated departmental studios
• Tower Theater, a 640-seat performance venue with more than 12,000 square feet of backstage and support space
• Black Box Theater with flexible seating and an intimate performance setting

What’s the Difference between a B.A. and a B.S. Degree? 

Whether you choose the B.A. or B.S. in Dance, you’ll complete the same comprehensive Dance curriculum. The distinction between the two degrees lies in their general education requirements. With the B.A. in Dance, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a new language. With the B.S. in Dance, you’ll have free electives to choose courses that match your area of interest.

These degrees are offered through the Department of Theatre and Dance.
