The Washington Fellowship is a Christ-centered, semester-long internship program hosted by Liberty University, which offers students of all majors the unique opportunity to live and work in our nation’s Capital.
Here, you will have the opportunity to experience downtown D.C. living, professional development, exclusive fellowship networking events, and more.
This program has placed students in organizations such as Fox News, National Park Service, American Psychological Association, Metro Police Department, and U.S. Congress.
When submitting your application, please apply to only one program. If you have an interest in the other Fellowship, that can be discussed during the interview.
Do not delay in responding to any requests as this may jeopardize your internship opportunity.
Students who participate in Fall or Spring pay a program fee. This is a combination of a block rate and a housing charge.
Students who participate in Summer pay per credit hour for the academic credits and a housing charge.
The Washington Fellowship program has arranged for housing in Washington, D.C. Students live on Capitol Hill just minutes from the Metro station and attractions.
We are in a unique position to make a real difference in our nation’s capital, and it has been so exciting to be a part of it!
The Washington Fellowship is a fantastic program. The past four months have provided me with the opportunity to grow professionally as well as spiritually.
I am so happy that Liberty offers this opportunity, and I am thrilled that I took part in it. -
I ended up getting a job as a program analyst at the Office of Investigations at USAID's OIG where I had interned last semester. I never would have gotten the job if it weren't for the Washington Fellowship and I'm very thankful for the opportunity we all had to complete the program.
