Dr. Michael Shenkle
Dr. Michael Shenkle serves as the Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer and Vice Provost of Online Administration at Liberty University, where he provides leadership for the University’s academic mission and strategy, student success, and online academic operations and initiatives.
During nearly two decades at Liberty, he has served in a variety of academic and administrative leadership roles spanning online education, academic planning, student success, retention, and enrollment services. Prior to his work in higher education administration, Dr. Shenkle spent time teaching in rural East Africa, helping shape his perspective on education and service.
Dr. Shenkle is committed to advancing Liberty University’s mission through student success, academic innovation, and expanding access to quality Christian education.
