• Drum kit + cymbals will be provided during tryouts and the show. Acts may bring their own snare, but will need to use the provided drum kit.
• A Nord 4 with stand will be provided during tryouts and the show. Acts may bring their own bench, but will be required to use the provided keys. Additional keys may be brought if the act has two sets of keys. 
• If an act with two sets of keys makes it into the show, both sets of keys will be provided by production at the show, unless otherwise noted personally to the act.
• Acts must provide all other instruments and equipment (stands, amps, guitars, cables, etc.)
• Acts may not sing to a track.
• No single acappella or single instrumental performances will be allowed to try out.
• Individuals in multiple acts may inhibit the chances of each of those acts getting into the show.
• Everyone from the act must be present at the tryout.
• All performances must be under 4:30 minutes in length.

Who can tryout?
1-3 performers: Must all be Liberty students
4+ performers: 75% Liberty students

• Videos must be between 1:30 – 4:30 minutes in length.
• End credit sequences must be shorter than 5 seconds.
• Files must be: MP4, 16:9, and 1080p (suggested: 5-8mbs, H.264 Stereo Audio).
• All videos must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the video submission deadline (Oct. 11 @ 11:59 p.m.).
• All video files and the below PDF must be uploaded to the Dropbox link with each file labeled ‘Name_VideoTitle’.
• All videos must add captions to improve the viewers experience.
• Any videos containing footage of illegal or unlawful activity will not be considered for the show.
• All persons that appear in videos must have given their explicit consent to be on screen.

All registration takes place online. Please register your act for one 20-minute time slot that is available.

All reservations are first come, first served. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to your tryout time to check in.

Acts who have not checked in at least 5 minutes in advance will forfeit their time slot.

Only one reservation per group allowed.

Acts who get into the show must have their full group available for soundcheck on Dec. 5 (all day).

We hope that you understand that while dozens of talented acts audition for Coffeehouse, we can only include so many in the show. That being said there are things you can do in order to increase your chances to be in Coffeehouse:

• Infuse your performance with a lot of energy. While we always include a few ballads or slow songs, this show starts at 11:30 p.m. The inclusion of a drummer or upbeat song is always appreciated.
• Diversify your performance with something unique. Dancing, acappella, and fun instruments like banjos, brass instruments, etc. can really help set you apart.
• Be intentional about your song choice. Try to identify your band’s strengths and pick a song that fits your abilities.
• Rehearse rehearse rehearse.
• Not all acts need to be bands. We always love to see a well put together magic act, comedy routine, musical theater performance, or tap dancing.

This semester’s show can consist of classic Christmas songs, seasonal tunes, or songs with themes reminiscent of the holidays. Lyrics that mention lights would also be welcome and on theme.
