LU Alert: Timely Warning Notification: (26-008556 and 26-008595)

Motor Vehicle Theft

The Liberty University Police Department (LUPD) has received reports of two motor vehicle thefts that occurred on March 2, 2026, in separate campus parking lots.

The stolen vehicles are described as late-model Hyundai vehicles.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20–23 years of age, approximately 5’8” in height, with a slim build. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt, a black hat with a red brim, and black-and-white Jordan sneakers. He was also wearing a black mask that was pulled down.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white Hyundai SUV.

The incidents are currently under investigation by LUPD.

This alert is being sent in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, as these incidents represent a Clery crime that occurred on Clery geography.

As a reminder, please lock your vehicle when leaving it and remove valuables from sight or take them with you. Avoid leaving keys, key fobs, or other access devices inside your vehicle. Also remember to secure your residence hall room and office when unattended.
