LU Public Service Notification
Local health authorities have reported an increase in flu cases in the area surrounding the Liberty University campus. Although this increase is currently occurring off campus, it is important for our campus community to remain vigilant, as illnesses can spread quickly in shared living, learning, and social environments.
For more information about influenza, please visit the Virginia Department of Health website:

To help protect yourself and others, we strongly encourage you to take the following precautions:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid close contact with individuals who are feeling unwell.
- Stay home from classes and campus activities if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, or fatigue.
- Consider receiving a flu vaccine if you have not already done so.
If you begin to feel sick, The Student Health Center offers flu testing along with other testing services. Please contact us at 434-338-7774 or visit the Student Health Center, located in Wing A of Commons 3, with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
