LU Public Service Notification

LU Public Service Notification: LUPD has been made aware of an attempt by an unknown individual to scam members of the LU Community. A scammer called and said that they were LUPD Deputy Chief Irwin and told the individual that their child had been arrested. The individual then asked for money from the parent to help the student. No one from LUPD will ever call and ask for money and this is a scam. If this happens to you, please call 434-592-7641 and report this scam.
