September 21, 2022

LU Alert: LUPD is currently investigating an incident that occurred during the evening of September 21, 2022 in which two white males driving a black pickup truck were moving through campus hitting individuals with gel projectiles from a toy. LUPD is currently aware of 4 members of the LU community that were hit with these projectiles and are working to identify the individuals responsible. Please note that there have been no serious injuries reported and that it has been confirmed that the item utilized in this incident was a toy.

Always remember to practice diligence with regards to awareness and safety when out and about. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and if possible, never travel alone. Should the need arise to travel alone, always ensure that your cell phone is charged and that someone knows where you are and when you plan to return. Ensure that you are fully aware of all Blue Light Emergency Phone locations on campus and as always, if you see something, say something.
