Local Church Emphasis Day | Friday, August 22, 2025
We are very excited to invite you to Liberty University for our Annual Local Church Emphasis Day (LCED) on Friday, August 22, 2025.
Local Church Emphasis Day is an annual event connecting students with local churches while studying at Liberty University. Approved local churches from the Lynchburg area will be present to connect and speak with students seeking a place of worship on Sundays and ways to grow in their faith. There is no fee to register for this event, and each local church is welcome to register two representatives as part of their registration. This fun event will take place outdoors on the Montview Academic Lawn.
Check-In
Check-in will be from 8:30 AM – 8:55 AM on the Montview Lawn. If you would like help with your tabling supplies, you can temporarily park outside DeMoss Hall while you unload your supplies. Don’t forget to put your flashers on. You can reference the PARKING MAP for details on where to park and how it relates to the Montview/Demoss Hall. After you unload your supplies, please park your car after filling out your parking pass. Our student workers and volunteers will be ready to help you with bins to load and take your supplies to Check-in at the LU Serve table on the Academic Lawn and then to your tabling location.
Fellowship Breakfast
We invite you to join us in the President’s Box in the Vines Center for the Fellowship Breakfast. Breakfast will begin at 9 am, immediately following check-in. It will be a time to connect with other local churches and our staff and share a meal together before the day begins. We hope to see you there!
Check-Out
Local Church Emphasis Day ends at 3:00 PM. You can pull your car into the same DeMoss parking lot at the end of tabling, and we will have a student worker/volunteer on-site to help you load your vehicle as needed. Please make sure to alert our team for this checkout service if desired.
Parking
Please follow the digital parking pass instructions in the link below. You must have a parking pass to park on campus. Towing is enforced.
Parking will be VERY crowded on this day, so we highly recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes early. We recommend parking in the Speakman Lot or The Academic Garage. Please reference the following PARKING MAP for details on where to park and how it relates to the Montview/Demoss Hall.
Tabling
Each church will be under cover and out of direct sunshine. We will provide your church cover under a 10-foot square tent with an 8-foot table, tablecloth wrap, and two chairs. A large sign with your church name will be provided, attached to your space, and easily seen by the students. Please do not bring large attractional signs, banners, balloon arches, etc. Only bring information about your local church, small candy, or promotional items.
Hospitality
Lunch will also be provided for your two registered representatives. Your pre-selected lunches will be delivered to your tabling location. Cold water will be available all day at our LU Serve table on the lawn.
