‘Duck Dynasty’ couple to speak at Convocation

Lynchburg, VA — Liberty University will welcome Willie and Korie Robertson to Convocation this Friday, Feb. 24, as a part of the weekend’s College For a Weekend festivities.

The Robertsons are stars of the hit television show “Duck Dynasty,” which aired for 11 seasons from 2012-2017, and have since continued to gain influence as authors and business owners. The family owns and operates Duck Commander, an outdoor gear supplier that specializes in duck calls. The show provided an in-depth look at the business through comedic situations and Christian family values.

The Robertsons have a strong connection to the university as Liberty parents; their son John Luke and his wife Mary Kate are alumni. Parts of the Season 9 finale were recorded on Liberty’s campus, with John Luke and Mary Kate beginning college.

The Robertsons’ daughter, Sadie Robertson Huff, spoke at Convocation last spring.

Willie and Korie, as well as other members of the “Duck Dynasty” family, have been special guests at previous Convocations. Willie Robertson was a guest at the 2016 Commencement.

Convocation begins at 10:30 a.m. EST in the Vines Center.
