Throughout the upcoming fall semester, Liberty University students will gather in the Vines Center twice a week for Convocation, where they will hear from a wide range of voices who influence today’s society. Many of the guests share God’s love around the world, represent Christ through various media platforms and art forms, or are active advocates of shared values consistent with Liberty’s mission, both in the United States and around the world.
This fall’s lineup will feature multiple pastors and popular speakers such as Bob Goff (9/19), Jackie Hill Perry (11/5), and Louie Giglio (11/19). Other guests are known in popular media, including content creator Bryce Crawford (8/20), television host Bear Grylls (10/15), “Duck Dynasty” stars from the Robertson family (11/7), and former sportscaster Samantha Ponder (11/12). Musical guests Chandler Moore and Anthony Evans (8/29), as well as renowned songwriter and artist Matt Redman (10/3), will lead worship. Some guests are influencing politics domestically and internationally, like former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson (10/8) and American conservative political activist Charlie Kirk (10/24).
The schedule was announced during Friday morning’s New Student Convocation. (See the full schedule below. Dates and speakers are subject to change; for updates, visit the Office of Spiritual Development webpage.)
Convocation is held every Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Vines Center and is open to the entire student body. Campus Community, a service featuring messages from members of Liberty’s leadership and special guests, is held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Most of these events are streamed live on Liberty’s YouTube channel, Liberty’s main Facebook page, and the Office of Spiritual Development Facebook page.
