Liberty University announces partnership with CMB to engage radio listeners, advance the mission

If you’re listening to Christian radio anywhere in the U.S., you might be hearing even more from the halls of Liberty University. Liberty has a long history of using Christian radio to spread the Gospel, to inspire and encourage spiritual growth, and to communicate exciting news and opportunities at the university to a broader audience. Now, through a new partnership with CMB (Christian Music Broadcasters), more radio listeners across the country can access content directly from Liberty’s vast pool of experts and notable leaders, students, and alumni who provide relevant, applicable information for Christian living.

Liberty’s partnership with CMB as an education sponsor joins two organizations with a shared vision of providing a wider platform for the Gospel and developing Champions for Christ. Together, Liberty and CMB are committed to empowering Christian music radio professionals with the tools and resources needed to impact their communities.

“Liberty University is excited to partner with CMB and support those within the Christian radio industry,” said Liberty Executive Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing Ron Kennedy. “Our goal is to help prepare radio professionals as they impact the world for Christ. We aim to come alongside CMB members and their listeners and help them meet personal career and educational goals while equipping them for their future. With affordable and flexible education options, 100% online coursesexpert facultyand carefully crafted curriculum, Liberty is making it possible to receive the best in higher education without compromising core beliefs. We look forward to our association with CMB and working together to further the Gospel of Christ.”

CMB currently has over 35 million listeners represented across the United States with 500+ members within the Christian radio industry, including the team at Liberty’s own The Journey.

Every month, Liberty is providing CMB and its members with multimedia content that can help them engage with their listeners online and on air and offer ways to learn more about how the university is equipping professionals across the world to advance the Gospel.

In June, Liberty provided a video and audio package featuring School of Music Professor Nirva Ready, a former backup singer for TobyMac and a distinguished music professional who shares advice about helping students navigate life change. This month, Liberty will provide a multimedia package on newly hired Head Football Coach Jamey Chadwell, who will address leadership topics. In August, the university plans to provide a back-to-school feature on preparing students at any educational level.

Liberty’s resources will also be included in CMB’s monthly newsletter to partners.

“This collaboration marks a significant milestone as we continue to make education a priority,” said CMB Executive Director Michelle Younkman. “Through this partnership, we aim to leverage the unique strengths and resources of Liberty to enhance the reach and impact of Christian music radio. Their esteemed reputation and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our shared vision of reaching more people for Christ. We look forward to the incredible possibilities that lie ahead.”
