On Tuesday from 1-4 p.m., close to 600 Liberty University students and over 100 employers gathered in the LaHaye Multipurpose Center for the Spring 2022 All Majors Career Fair.

“This event highlights the desire for industries across the nation to hire Liberty students,” said Matt Young, assistant director of employer relations for Liberty’s Career Services office. “It shows how attractive and competitive our students are in the marketplace.”

Employers ranged from Fortune 500 companies to state and local organizations. Along with 10 different airlines, corporations such as BWXT, Centra Health, the Chesterfield County Police Department, Chick-fil-A, Enterprise, Geico, and Target were among many other reputable companies.

“There are opportunities for students to find jobs not just in Virginia or in the Atlantic or East Coast regions, but also across the country,” Young said. “By coming to Liberty, these employers show that they are specifically invested and interested in hiring Liberty students.”

Tuesday’s fair was Liberty’s largest attended in years.

“It’s really exciting to have that many employers in attendance and from such a wide variety of industries,” Young said. “It shows the diversity and the experience that Liberty students are bringing into the marketplace. Liberty doesn’t specialize in or isn’t just known for one thing. Our students are competitive across multiple industries, and it is something that Liberty should be proud of.”

Liberty graduates were among the company representatives ready to talk with students.

“The All Majors Career Fair is the pinnacle event for our students and alumni to meet their future employer,” Director of Alumni Relations Giuseppe Cucci said. “Many of the recruiters were alumni returning to campus intent on recruiting soon-to-be graduates to join their organization. Dr. Jerry Falwell’s vision for the school was to create Champions for Christ in every industry, and I had a chance to meet those champions at the fair, fulfilling that vision by bringing soon-to-be graduates a step closer to their career.”

On March 22, Liberty’s School of Education will host a job fair from 1-4 p.m. in the Montview Alumni Ballroom and on April 5, the university will have a virtual All Majors Career Fair, facilitated by Handshake, from 4-7 p.m. EST.

Career Services connects Liberty students and alumni with career opportunities through impactful coaching, employer connections, and valuable work experiences. They train students and alumni to align personal goals, talents, and experiences in support of achieving their vocational goals through internships, career fairs, events, and mock interviews.
