Softball coach to speak at Virginia Commonwealth Games

Liberty University Softball Head Coach and two-time gold medalist Dot Richardson will be the Olympic Speaker at the Subway Commonwealth Games, July 17 in Salem, Va.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist and Liberty Head Softball Coach Dot Richardson has been selected as this year’s Olympic Speaker at the 26th Annual Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia.
Richardson, who recently completed her second year as the Lady Flames’ head coach, will speak at the opening ceremonies, held at 4 p.m. on July 17 at Lewis Gale Field, home of the Salem Red Sox, in Salem, Va.
The Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia is considered Virginia’s Olympic Games. Held throughout the summer at various sites throughout Virginia, the Commonwealth Games feature over 60 individual and team sports. Nearly 10,000 participants are expected to compete in this year’s games with the majority taking place over the weekend of July 17-19.
