Liberty University employees shared some Christmas cheer on Friday, Dec. 12, as they enjoyed food catered by Sodexo, Liberty’s dining services provider, and a time of fellowship during the annual President’s Christmas Reception in the LaHaye Multipurpose Center.
President Jerry Falwell and his wife, Becki, began the event to honor employees’ hard work and their contributions to the university throughout the year. Elaborate ice sculptures were perched on tables where guests were presented with a number of gourmet options. Employees mingled with one another and the Falwells before a bright, festive backdrop of trees and decorations. In front of a large Christmas tree, employees took photos, some utilizing silly props that were available. Special kiosks allowed them to post photos instantly to social media.
The President’s Christmas Reception is one of many Christmas traditions at Liberty as the community celebrates the reason for the season.
