Law school ranked No. 1 for ‘devout’ Christians

Liberty University School of Law was ranked first among Christian law schools in an article in Pre-Law Magazine, a National Jurist publication. These findings were also featured in an article by Christianity Today.

The magazine reviewed 52 law schools affiliated with religious groups and compiled a list of the top law schools for devout Christians, Catholics, Jews, Mormons, and Muslims. Rankings were based on the schools’ commitment to their respective faiths.

Researchers looked at the amount and type of religious activity of both students and faculty, the methods used to integrate faith into the curriculum, the mission of the school, religious services held on campus, and the number of religion-related journals, centers, and clinics.

Rounding out the top five non-Catholic schools were Trinity Law School, Regent University, Pepperdine University, and Baylor University. Many other law schools with religious origins did not make the list because they have long since abandoned their historical roots.

The Liberty University School of Law is committed to academic and professional excellence in the context of the Christian faith. It seeks to produce highly skilled law professionals who are capable of making positive contributions to their communities.
