Sean Hannity to speak at Friday’s convocation

Sean Hannity speaks at Liberty University on April 18, 2007.

Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. announced on Wednesday that Sean Hannity, host of FOX News Channel’s “Hannity,” will be the guest speaker in Liberty University’s convocation on Oct. 16.

Hannity, one of the most influential conservative voices in American media today, has spoken at Liberty before, most recently for an April 2007 convocation. He was also at LU’s Commencement in 2005, where he received an honorary degree.

Hannity’s wife, Jill, has been a student with Liberty University Online.

“He’s very busy; it’s very gracious of him to work us into his schedule,” Falwell said on Wednesday. “We look forward to a wonderful start to our Homecoming Weekend.”

Hannity is also the author of two New York Times bestsellers, "Let Freedom Ring" (Harper Collins, 2002) and "Deliver Us From Evil" (Harper Collins, 2004). For more information, go to www.hannity.com.
