Christian music artist Chris Renzema took the Vines Center stage Friday, Sept. 18, for a concert hosted by Student Activities.
Director of Student Activities Cort Comfort shared how Liberty University concerts impact the local community.
“I love local Lynchburg, and I love when they come out to our concerts,” Comfort said. “I think coming to a concert is a really cool way to experience the university.”
Renzema’s music blends the folk, indie and Christian contemporary music genres together, creating a unique style. The lyrics to his songs are heartfelt, sharing struggles about faith and focusing on God’s unfailing love.

Comfort mentioned that through Renzema’s lyrics, Christians can feel less alone in their doubt, concerns and faith struggles.
“I think Chris Renzema is a great representation of what it means to be a Christian and human at the exact same time,” Comfort explained.
