Lady Flames seniors Margaret Latchford and Victoria Baptista led the Lady Flames to a combined 28 digs in route to the team’s 3-0 sweep against the North Alabama Lions Sunday, Oct. 28. The Lady Flames Sunday afternoon victory concluded their nine consecutive game series played in the Vines Center. The series marked the longest home-game series in Lady Flames volleyball team history.

The game’s first set was never even close as the Lady Flames led 15-3 before finishing the set 25-10. The second set remained neck and neck until the Lady Flames advanced their 15-12 lead to 25-19. The Lady Flames finished the sweep by rebounding from a 13-12 deficit to win 25-17.

Despite the Lady Flames having two seniors on their roster, the 13-13 Trevor Johnson-led team have managed to go on a six-game win streak.

Latchford, Baptista and the Lady Flames finish the regular season with four conference road matchups, starting Nov. 2 at ASUN leader Kennesaw State University (20-4, 11-0 through Friday).
