Joshua’s journey is a testament to the power of Christ, love, faith, and prayer. In high school, Joshua received a full-tuition academic scholarship to attend any public university in his state, but he prayerfully decided to serve God and Country first in the U.S. Navy. He enlisted at 17 years old, entered active duty upon high school graduation, and deployed to his first combat zone at 19 years old. Following honorable service in the USN, he graduated with his B.S. in Religion (Summa Cum Laude) at LU and became the first person in his immediate family to earn a college degree. Joshua pressed on to finish five different degrees, including a Ph.D. in Education from Liberty University. After serving as a volunteer firefighter in North Carolina, Joshua earned his commission as a U.S. Air Force officer. He led hundreds of airmen in military operations, aviation, logistics, and engineering, managed billions of dollars in assets, and launched the world’s most dynamic nuclear command. Furthermore, Joshua taught hundreds of college students as an Assistant Professor at NC State University while simultaneously serving as the director of the recruiting program.
Upon completion of his military service, guided by his love for Christ, Joshua and his family were fully committed to global unreached missions. In pursuit of their calling, they moved to serve on unreached mission fields, founding the charitable nonprofit organization “Christian Academy & Lighthouse, Inc.” (CAL) in the U.S. to support their mission work and projects abroad. The mission of CAL is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to unreached nations, operating strategically in the heart of the 10/40 Window. With over one billion unreached children and 30 million orphans in Asia, CAL provides Christian “Kingdom Education”, planting new local churches and quality Christian schools, offering Christian education for impoverished children and orphans with Lighthouse Scholarships
Joshua’s time at Liberty University as a Resident Assistant and his service in the youth ministry at Thomas Road Baptist Church under the guidance of his pastor and spiritual father, Dr. Falwell, profoundly influenced his journey. His voluntary service during summer breaks included a 7-week church planting mission and orphanage service trip to South America, reinforcing his commitment to serving God’s Kingdom.

Throughout his educational journey, Joshua grew in prayer, the Word of God, and a love for unreached missions. By God’s amazing grace, he has been faithfully married for 19 years and is blessed with five children, whom he considers his first disciples in Christ.
Joshua’s story is a powerful example of how God’s love, grace, and faithfulness can lead to a life of service and impact. His journey continues to inspire others to pursue their calling and make a difference in the world as Champions for Christ.”
