The Vines Center hosts some of the most exciting Christian speakers, musicians, and sporting events in the country – but a strong sound reverberation was making it difficult for students to hear from some of the seats. Newly installed “sound baffles” are expected to make reverberation a thing of the past, though. The baffles, which look like red and blue flags hanging from the dome ceiling, will absorb excess sound.

About 280 Liberty University students will pack their suitcases for a unique stay this fall. With enrollment at an all-time high, housing on both Main and East campuses is full – so LU is placing students at the Lynchburg Inn and Conference Center.

A screening of Billy: The Early Years, starring two Liberty University students, will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary at Thomas Road Baptist Church. The film, directed by Robby Benson, follows the life of evangelist Billy Graham, starting in his teenage years.

Finishing touches are now being made to a new townhome for resident directors, located off Champion Circle. The two-story building, with two apartments, will provide housing to three RDs, allowing them to be more centrally located to the students they serve. The townhome increases the number of RDs on campus to 26, decreasing the RD-to-student ratio.
