The American Ninja Warriors cast, Hobby Lobby President Steve Green and Thomas Road Baptist Church Senior Pastor Jonathan Falwell are just some of the faces that will grace the Liberty University Convocation stage this week and next.
As previously announced, this Wednesday’s Convocation will feature “American Ninja Warrior” co-host Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and competitors Grant McCartney and Meagan Martin, who will talk about life on the NBC series and the “Ninja Warrior” circuit.
On Friday, Sept. 8, students will hear from Hobby Lobby President Steve Green. Green will discuss the highly anticipated opening of the 430,000-square-foot Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., of which Green serves as chairman of the board. He will also discuss his latest book, “The Bible in America,” which explores the history and impact of the Bible on U.S. history and the modern world.
Next Monday will feature Thomas Road Baptist Church Senior Pastor Jonathan Falwell. He has served in full-time ministry since 1994 and has led TRBC since 2007 after the death of his father and Liberty founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell.
On Wednesday, Sept. 13, students will hear from author and motivational speaker Lisa Kratz Thomas. Kratz will share her powerful testimony of how she overcame a cocaine addiction, domestic violence, prostitution, and incarceration. Well known evangelist Robert Madu will also speak and encourage students in their walk with Christ.
An upcoming 10-day Convocation schedule is announced each Monday. Convocation remains the largest weekly gathering of college students in the world.
