Then … And Now Alumni Weekend 2009 Oct. 16-18

From a parade and tailgating to the Chancellor’s Dinner, enjoy all your favorite Homecoming events at Alumni Weekend 2009. Support the Liberty Flames football team as they collide with Coastal Carolina, and be a part of our unique “Then and Now” festivities.

Alumni Weekend 2009 will connect Liberty University’s past with its present. We will look back at LU’s rich heritage, starting with the vision of Dr. Jerry Falwell and co-founder Dr. Elmer Towns, and celebrate the university’s success that continues under the leadership of Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. Today’s students are enjoying state-of-the-art facilities, a strong liberal arts curriculum, a Christ-centered atmosphere and a thriving online learning program. Whether you were an alumnus of the 1970s who attended Liberty when it was young or you’re a recent graduate who didn’t think twice about wearing blue jeans to class, you’re still part of the same family — the family of Christ and the alumni family at Liberty University.

Alumni Chapters



Liberty University Alumni Chapters are are spreading across America, with 50 new chapters forming with the help of alumni who have volunteered over the past year, since Alumni Weekend 2008. The new chapters will launch in 50 cities and 21 states across the nation, including a launch in Korea! Email Mark Watkins for more information.

Alumni Recruitment



The Alumni Relations Office is teaming up with the LU Recruitment Department to start empowering LU Alumni to recruit future LU students. There will be materials, scholarships and support developed to help alumni to encourage prospective students to connect with, visit and later attend LU. Email Justin Terry for more information.
