Fall

The leaves have fallen around Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM). The cooler mornings are here, and sunset occurs faster now after the recent time change. It is the perfect time to continue working on your checklist. Even though you have until March 1, 2023, to complete your items, we recommend you begin working on the required items right away. Completing vaccination requirements can take more than six months. Review the Process for Success so you can stay on track. And a BIG thank you to all of those, including those on the waitlist, who have already completed their checklist items.

Social Media

As a newly accepted student to LUCOM, we encourage you to join the LUCOM Class of 2027 Facebook Group — you will need a Facebook account to do so. Once logged into Facebook, search for “LUCOM Class of 2027” and request to join. You should be granted access quickly. This is a private group for accepted students only. In previous years, this group has helped incoming Liberty University osteopathic medicine students connect with each other before orientation and find roommates.

Plans

Students often apply to other medical schools, and some receive multiple acceptances. Should your plans change and you decide to purse your medical training at another program and location, please let us know promptly via email to LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu. When you send an update to not attend LUCOM, we can make your seat available to another applicant. Thank you in advance for informing us of your plans.

Tours

The LUCOM Admissions Team offers tours of the Center for Medical and Health Sciences, the academic building for LUCOM, Monday through Friday. Reservations are required in advance. If you are interested in scheduling a tour, please get in touch with the Office of Admissions at (434) 592-7444 or email LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu.

Did you know?

Liberty Campus Recreation offers group exercise classes that focus on strength, cardio, and mind/body with more than 35 exercise classes offered each week at no cost to LUCOM students. Group EX Plus classes are also available for an additional small charge and are led by instructors with a higher level of experiences such as Body Blast, Full Body Circuits, Power Pilates, Restorative Yoga, Studio Cycling, and more.
