Liberty’s Partnership with Karen Kingsbury
Liberty University has partnered with #1 New York Times best-selling author Karen Kingsbury to create the Karen Kingsbury Center for Writing.
Kingsbury’s inspirational novels have sold millions, and many are in development with Hallmark Films. As an adjunct professor at Liberty, she shares her experience in writing and publishing.
Under this center, and in conjunction with the College of Arts & Sciences, students can pursue a minor in creative writing, which is offered both online and on-campus. The center is exploring adding new programs.
A Look at Liberty University
The mission of Liberty University — Training Champions for Christ— is a bold invitation to leave your mark on the world, not to settle for mediocrity but to envision a life that elevates everything and everyone it touches. The Liberty culture is not about maintaining the status quo but about challenging men and women to pursue excellence in every sphere of life and be who they were created to be. Karen Kingsbury has witnessed this personally in the lives of her family and says often, “If Heaven had a University, it would be Liberty.”
