Liberty’s B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) – Event Planning can give you the skills you need to help these events succeed.
In the event planning program, you will learn how to design, plan, and carry out diverse events from corporate meetings and conferences to social functions like weddings and community fundraisers. This program will immerse you in all aspects of the event industry, including marketing, technology, and entrepreneurship.

- Negotiating contracts, planning multi-media components, and coordinating and staffing events such as conferences and weddings
- How to balance the multiple roles and responsibilities of family members, including the application of critical thinking to resolve issues, prioritize needs, and set goals

Admission Requirements for Our Undergraduate Degree Programs
Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
- Admission application
- Official high school transcripts
- Official college transcripts (if applicable)
- Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
- Admission essay
