Career Advancement for Speech Education Certificate Graduates
This certificate is designed to provide licensed teachers or student teachers currently pursuing licensure with an add-on endorsement in speech education. This credential will provide you with the knowledge you will need to be an effective speech and communication teacher for grades 6-12.

- You will have access to a variety of resources, software, and equipment through our on-campus Educational Technology Lab.
- Licensed teachers can use this certificate to earn add-on licensure to teach middle or high school speech classes.
- You can complete this certificate in just one semester.
Admission Requirements for Our Undergraduate Certificates
Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
- Admission application
- Official high school transcripts
- Official college transcripts (if applicable)
- Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
- Admission essay
*Note that additional documentation may be requested by the admission committee after your application has been received.
