Are you interested in politics and excited about facilitating positive change in our government? With a Bachelor of Arts in Government – Politics and Policy, you can pursue careers in government and make a difference at the local, state, or national level. You will gain a diverse introduction to political and economic ideas and the many processes of our government.

In this program, you will learn more about the close relationship between a system of limited constitutional government and the free enterprise economy. You’ll also get an overview of how Judeo-Christian principles helped to shape the government we have today. Additionally, you will discover the relationship this field has with history, economics, and various other disciplines.

  • Join Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, which is the only honor society for university government students in the United States and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies.
  • Our Center for American Statesmanship is a 1-stop resource providing education and training in effective citizenship, constitutional rights, foundational worldview ideas, and influential modern political involvement.
  • Many of our students go on to work in government positions and continue to get their graduate degree with Liberty University’s online programs or residentially by pursuing the Master of Arts in Public Policy.

Admission Requirements for Our Undergraduate Degree Programs

Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:

  • Admission application
  • Official high school transcripts
  • Official college transcripts (if applicable)
  • Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
  • Admission essay

*Note that additional documentation may be requested by the admission committee after your application has been received.
