Liberty Champion Content & Letters to the Editor Policy
The Champion is published by Liberty University under the direction of the School of Communication and the Arts.
The Champion reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit any letter received in accordance with the Champion Policy Manual and Style Guide and the Liberty University mission and doctrinal statement.
Any letters submitted should be sent to thechampion@liberty.edu and should not exceed 400 words. Anonymous letters will not be considered.
Publication preference is given to undergraduate students currently enrolled at Liberty University. Content sent for publication that is not from a verified @liberty.edu address will not be considered.
All stories posted online are fact-checked at the time of publication. If there is an error in publication the editor-in-chief and/or director will add an editor’s note to the story, make the correction, and if applicable, run a correction in the next print issue. Changes will not be made if statistics change over time. An article from five years ago may have outdated statistics, but it was written based on the current statistics at the time of publication and those facts will not be updated. Requests to change statistics will be denied.
Story ideas can be submitted by email to the current editor-in-chief as listed on the Liberty Champion staff page, or to thechampion@liberty.edu.
All content in the print and online editions of the Champion is written by currently enrolled Liberty University undergraduate students. Students interested in writing for the Champion should consider signing up for CSER-317 (Christian Service), JOUR-390 (class credit), or requesting an internship.
Advertising inquiries for the print edition of the Champion should be submitted to thechampion@liberty.edu. Advertisement rates are available upon request. At this time, there are no online advertising opportunities.
