Christian artists for KING & COUNTRY performed in the Vines Center during Convocation on Oct. 14.

The band performed their most popular hits and announced their upcoming movie, “The Drummer Boy.”

For KING & COUNTRY are four-time Grammy Award-winning artists and have won multiple GMA Dove Award. Lead singers Luke and Joel Smallbone emphasized that although life is filled with hardship, there is still joy worth celebrating.

Convocation began with the brothers playing several songs including, “World On Fire,” “Fix My Eyes,” “Fight On, Fighter” and “Fine Fine Life.” Through the event, the band encouraged students to praise and celebrate the Lord.

“Praise, my friend, can change our reality,” Joel Smallbone said. “Praise can remove us from bitterness and resentment and rage and reconnect us to ourselves and others to God.”

Toward the end of Convocation, students watched a roughly four-minute unreleased scene from the band’s upcoming movie. Following the preview, the band provided students with free tickets to see the film in theaters.

Junior Joshua Olinger said he is excited for the upcoming release.

“I didn’t even know that they made movies,” Olinger said. “I’ll definitely see if I can go watch.”

For KING & COUNTRY closed with more songs before students were dismissed.
