Liberty to host “Real Marriage” tour

The weather warms up, the end of the semester approaches and thoughts of taking things a step further with a special someone abound. Spring has arrived, and students are catching cases of a fever called “ring by spring.”

However, students looking for advice amongst the romantic ruckus need look no further. Liberty University will be hosting Mark Driscoll’s “Real Marriage” tour on April 20-21, 2012. The tour is presented by Logos Bible Software and covers seven cities across the nation.

Driscoll, the pastor of Mars Hill Church and author of several books including “Vintage Jesus,” along with his wife Grace Driscoll, will address singles and married couples alike during the conference. The tour is in support of the couple’s new book “Real Marriage: The Truth About Sex, Friendship and Life Together.”

“Real Marriage & The Truth About Sex, Friendship and Life Together by Pastor Mark Driscoll and his wife Grace will be an event that will encourage, enlighten, and equip you in your romantic relationship whether you are married or single. Learn how Pastor Mark and Grace have navigated their marital journey through biblical teaching and humor,” the event’s page on gotothehub.com stated.

The website also lists topics covered during the conference, including friendship within marriage and guidelines on sex. A short video on the website recorded by the Driscoll couple offers a more detailed look at the purpose of the tour and its message.

Mark Driscoll founded and currently pastors Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington, a church that owns a network of 14 campuses in four states, according to MarsHill.com. His profile on the website also states that Preaching Magazine listed Mark Driscoll among the top 25 pastors of the last 25 years, and his sermons are viewed or listened to approximately 10 million times annually.

Promotional content, an introductory video and further event details can be found at gotothehub.com. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased via a link on the website.
