Faculty Information
Liberty University faculty will be included in a special processional that will take place near the start of the Inauguration Ceremony. Please review the details and information below.
Are classes canceled during the Inauguration Ceremony?
Residential classes with a start time between 2 p.m. and 5:59 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, will be canceled.
Professors should plan to offer students prerecorded lectures uploaded to Canvas so that students can still complete coursework.
Courses and/or labs that only meet on Thursday during that time may be exempt from cancellation, although professors are still encouraged to record and upload their lectures in lieu of holding class. If canceling will put your students behind, please speak with your department’s dean.
Any questions and/or concerns regarding whether a class should be held should be directed to your department’s dean.
Do I need to wear regalia?
Yes, full regalia is required.
If you do not own regalia and need to arrange a rental, please email Stephanie Ernest at slernest@liberty.edu. The deadline to order rental regalia is Oct. 11, and it will be available for pick up at the Liberty University Bookstore on or after Monday, Oct. 23.
