Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Post-MSN) – Utah
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Utah students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Utah State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Utah is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration, therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Utah, the student must hold an active, Utah or Multi-State RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
The Utah Board of Nursing requires official transcripts from a Masters or higher degree program for the specialty. The transcripts must document course work in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment, and pharmacotherapeutics. Transcripts must be submitted to the Board in a sealed envelope, or through email (send to B7@utah.gov), from the educational program. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.
