Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Post-BSN) – Nebraska
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Nebraska students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Nebraska State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Nebraska is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration, therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Nebraska, the student must hold an active, Nebraska or Multi-State RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
The Nebraska Board of Nursing requires official transcripts reflecting completion of a graduate-level advanced practice registered nurse program, in the clinical area of specialty. Transcripts must be submitted to the Board in a sealed envelope, or through email, from the educational program. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.
