Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Post-BSN) – Guam
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet education requirements for professional licensure in Guam. However, students living in this territory must complete their practicum experience within the 50 US States. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License to enroll.
Guam License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Students are not permitted to complete practicum in Guam. To complete practicum in one of the approved 50 US States, students must hold an active RN license in that state, or a multi-state license, if applicable to the practicum state.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
The Guam Board of Nurse Examiners requires official transcripts verifying the completion of the educational program relevant to the specialty. Transcripts must be submitted to the Board from the educational program. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.

a. Will LUSON support practicum placement in Guam?
Liberty University School of Nursing students must complete their practicum experience within the US 50 States. Therefore, students enrolling in this program will be required to complete their practicum experience in one of the states where Liberty students are approved for clinical placement. b. Are there any specific requirements to consider when completing practicum?
Students completing practicum in an approved practicum state must hold an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse License, or a Multi-State RN License (if applicable), for the state where the practicum experience will take place.
