Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Wyoming
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Wyoming students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Wyoming State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Wyoming is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration, therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Wyoming, the student must hold an active, Wyoming or Multi-State RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
The Wyoming Board of Nursing requires official transcripts for a master’s or doctoral degree in nursing be sent directly from the educational institution to the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing by mail, or by email to: wsbn-info- licensing@wyo.gov. For Prescriptive Authority, the official transcript should also reflect a course in Advanced Pharmacology. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.

a. Will LUSON support practicum placement in Wyoming?
Liberty University School of Nursing students are approved for practicum in the State of Wyoming.
b. Are there any specific requirements to consider when completing practicum in Wyoming?
i. Students completing practicum in the State of Wyoming must hold a Wyoming Registered Nurse License, or a Multi-State RN License.
ii. The WY BON requires the educational institution notify the BON of any clinical placements taking place in the state of Wyoming.
