Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Georgia
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Georgia students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Georgia State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Georgia is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration, therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Georgia, the student must hold an active, Georgia or Multi-State RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
The Georgia Board of Nursing requires graduation from an Advanced Practice Nursing Education Program, within 4 years of the date of application for licensure. Transcripts must be submitted to the Board from the educational program. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.
