Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Connecticut
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Connecticut students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Connecticut State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Connecticut is not a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration; therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Connecticut, the student must hold an active, unencumbered Connecticut RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator.
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
Applicants must be a Graduate of a graduate program with a relevant specialty, i.e. PMHNP. Transcripts must be submitted by the educational institution to the Connecticut Board of Nursing. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.
