Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Arizona
Liberty University and the School of Nursing meet all requirements for enrollment of Arizona students in this program. All students are required to have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License prior to enrollment.
Arizona State License Requirements:
a. RN License.
i. You must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license for any Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
ii. Arizona is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Administration, therefore, to participate in practicum in the state of Arizona, the student must hold an active, multi-state RN license.
iii. Any change in licensure status must be reported to the Liberty University School of Nursing Online Student Support Coordinator
b. APRN License Application Requirements
i. Education
1. The Arizona Board of Nursing requires official transcripts from a Masters or higher degree program for the specialty. Transcripts must be submitted to the Board in a sealed envelope, or through email, from the educational program. To request an official transcript, you may reach out to the Registrar’s office.
2. Applicants seeking initial prescriptive authority shall submit written evidence of 45 contact hours of education in pharmacology or clinical management of drug therapy within the three-year period immediately preceding submission of the application.
ii. Certification:
This program meets requirements for eligibility to sit for national certification examinations.
