LUCOM Class of 2025

The Admissions Office has concluded the interviews for the 2020-21 application cycle. The Class of 2025 is currently filled with our maximum number of 162 student-doctors. We also have a substantial Provisionally Accepted list.

If your plans to matriculate at LUCOM change, please email Barry Ousley, assistant director of admissions, at bjousley@liberty.edu, so that we can offer that seat to another candidate.

Class Demographics

Where is everyone coming from this year? The top represented states for this year are Virginia, California, Texas, New York, and Utah.  Twenty-five other states and one Canadian province are also represented. The Class of 2025 has graduates from 96 different universities. Those with undergraduate degrees make up 83% of the class with 17% having completed some amount of graduate work.

Matriculation Items

If you were accepted after Jan. 1, your matriculation items will be due by Saturday, May 1. If your matriculations items have not been received by May 1 and you do not have an extension for any of them, your acceptance will be forfeited in the Class of 2025. Items such as the immunizations and titers may take longer to process and receive the results, so please allow for that time to make sure that we receive checklist items before the deadline. The COVID situation may also create delays in getting your immunizations and titers, so you may need to get an early start on those items.

Requests for extensions on the due dates for immunizations and titers should be emailed to Tammy Weigner, clinical director of health records and outreach, at tlweigner@liberty.edu.

If you run into issues with CastleBranch rejecting your proof of insurance, please email the Office of Admissions at LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu, to see if we can accept the documents you are presenting for that proof of insurance.

Informational Webinars

The Office of Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, the Office of Student Services, and other staff members who address student success are offering informational webinars to help prepare everyone for the beginning of the new academic year and the transition to Lynchburg.  Please be watching your Liberty email for meeting invitations for these sessions.

Class of 2025 Facebook Group

Have you joined the LUCOM Class of 2025 Facebook Group? If not, please request to join so that you can start meeting your future classmates. Members of previous classes often join in the group, and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have and provide helpful hints for success at LUCOM.
