Not every moment of college life is spent in the classroom.
Our students know that Champions for Christ can still enjoy their hobbies, so whether you love competitive sports, the great outdoors, or the arts, you’ll find people who share your interests.

Rise With Us
Liberty students expect exciting game day environments, and our athletic teams deliver. When you join Flames Nation, you can look forward to 20 NCAA Division I athletic teams and 40+ Club Sports teams. And if you’re interested in getting on the field yourself, you can always start a team with friends and compete in 20 intramural sports.
We believe in the “work hard, play hard” mentality, and our students enjoy state-of-the-art recreation facilities. Meet up with friends between classes at the Montview Student Union’s bowling alley, or de-stress on more than 50 miles of Liberty Mountain’s hiking trails. You could also blow off some steam at the LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center, or hit the slopes at our year-round snowless ski slope.
Get Connected
Joining a student-run club is another great way to meet people who share your interests. Get connected with a service-focused group like Autism Speaks. Challenge yourself as part of the Chess Club. Work on your leadership skills with the Student Government Association. Do what makes you happy and meet friends along the way.
You’ll also have opportunities to try new things at more than 100 events organized by Student Activities — go white water rafting, or sing at an open mic night, or travel to cities like Washington, D.C.
Home Away From Home
College should be a place where you truly feel at home.
The Residential Commons provide high-rise housing without losing the community vibe of dorms, and students on East Campus live in suites with shared kitchens and laundry rooms.
You can also find traditional hall-style dorms on The Hill or South Campus. And yes, we have virtual tours so you can pick your favorite.
Another big part of college life is the food. It might not be mom’s home cooking, but our main dining hall — The Food Court at Reber-Thomas — has been one of the top-ranked dining halls in the nation for the past three years. (It’s got over 20 food stations, including allergen-free options.) We also serve up snacks and meals for every craving at spots like Auntie Anne’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Woodfire Pizza, and of course Chick-fil-A.
