Students stage live sports webcasts

May 20, 2013

Students from Liberty University’s School of Communication and Creative Arts are running the show when it comes to generating live streams for some Flames sporting events.

Liberty’s hockey and men’s lacrosse webcasts are produced almost entirely by students, as the Liberty Lacrosse Complex and LaHaye Ice Center become their classrooms.
Their work, streamed through www.Liberty.edu and the Big South Network, caught the attention of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, who called on them to produce its first-ever selection show for the Division I men’s hockey national tournament in February.
