Men’s basketball revs up for first season in ASUN Conference

October 31, 2018

The Liberty men’s basketball team finished the 2017-18 season with a 22-15 record — the second-most wins in school history. And for the first time ever, the Flames are coming off back-to-back 20-win seasons, including a run to the 2018 Big South Men’s Basketball Championship game.

Liberty returns four starters and eight letterwinners to the squad this year as it makes its move to the ASUN Conference.

Head Coach Ritchie McKay has built a winning tradition and is the second winningest coach in program history with nearly 100 victories in five seasons.
Liberty will tip off its season on Nov. 8 at home against Maine Fort Kent. The Flames have a challenging schedule that features three NCAA Tournament teams from last year and five teams that played in other postseason tournaments last season. • Season tickets are as low as $75 for the Flames’ 15 home events. Call (434) 582-SEAT (7328) or email tickets@localhost.

Fans can also support the team and enjoy special game day privileges by joining the Flames Club. Membership starts at $60 and includes preferred parking, seating, and pregame hospitality benefits, based upon membership level.
