Building Up

February 21, 2018

Progress continues on Williams Stadium, as concrete columns and beams for the second level of seating on the east side are already in place, giving the stadium a whole new look. The expansion to the east side is scheduled to be completed by this fall, bringing seating capacity to 25,000 and ushering in a new era of Flames Football.

Crews have also been busy filling in the south end zone to prepare for new seating options and a stretch of walkway that will connect the concourse levels on both sides. People should expect to see major work at the site during February as the new stadium entrances begin to take shape.

Between the 2018 and 2019 seasons, work will focus on the west side of the stadium, where new loge seating areas will be constructed.
The entire expansion project is set to be completed before kickoff of the 2019 season.
