Last Thursday was my 19th birthday and it honestly was the best birthday I had ever celebrated. One of my friends put it well when she said, “people just want to love on you” here at Liberty. That is one thing I love the most about this school - the community. Everywhere I went I had people wishing me “Happy Birthday” and surprising me with hugs. Students at Liberty not only care about you on your birthday, but they care even when it isn’t your special day. Another thing that sets Liberty apart from other schools is that they give you a balloon and a personal birthday cake. I felt so special when I got mine, because it’s not everyday that you get a free balloon and cake.
Doesn't it look yummy?:)
If you know me, you will know that I am very outgoing and that it wouldn’t be unusual for me to do something that is out of the ordinary. Well, on my birthday I did just that and sang with Justin Kintzel. For those of you who do not know who Justin is, he is the Leader for our Campus Band (He is kind of a big deal around here). My encounter with him was well… awkward to say the least. He was in the Marketing Department and I got the guts to ask him if he would sing Happy Birthday to me for my birthday. We ended up doing a duet, which adds to the awkwardness because I sang Happy Birthday to myself. But you can check out the video below.
When I got back to my dorm after work, my roommates surprised me by decorating our room with balloons and streamers. We ended up having a dance party in our dorm with a bunch of other girls on the hall to some random birthday music. When we were done dancing my roommates and I headed over to Macado’s with my best friends Hannah, Matt, Micah, and Jared. Like I said before, I had the best. birthday. ever.
