Busy, Busy, Busy!September 4, 2013
If you can’t already guess from the title of this blog this semester so far has been incredibly busy! I thought that by senior year I would have everything figured out and the transition back to classes would be smooth sailing! However, sometimes the crazy express comes along and you just have to jump on board.
The transition back to school was a little rocky this semester. As most students experience when they return from summer break, the pace of life speeds up significantly. All of the sudden I had to juggle classes, work, going to Convocation, Spiritual Emphasis Week, my internship, meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends, and for those of us who are fortunate enough- getting the flu! Talk about a lot going on.
Now you’re probably thinking, “that honestly doesn’t sound like a lot of fun, if college is like that then I don’t want to be a part of it!” Well let me give you a little insight as to why this really is the best time of my life…
The best thing about being at Liberty is that your closest friends are the one’s who will rally around you and pray. Students at Liberty are some of the most selfless people you will find. An example of that: Two of my best friends who graduated from Liberty decided to drive down from Pennsylvania just to hang out with me for the night and then drove back the next day.
The best thing about Liberty though is the constant spiritual encouragement and guidance you will find. Teachers open up every class with prayer and if there’s something that is really weighing on your heart they will always take time to pray with you. It’s not uncommon to see students praying on campus together. I am so thankful to be at a Christian University, on the tough and the great days of life!
