Official Page = Home Page

If you take a look at your page list (under “Open Page”) you may notice that one of your pages is titled Official Page. (You cannot change the title of this page.)

Every collection of web pages on liberty.edu that has an official page is considered its own web department. This means that the file manager, the navigation sets, and the breadcrumbs for your department’s pages is separate from any other department’s pages.

If you are not using your official page as your homepage, you’ll end up with some problems. The most noticeable will be that your breadcrumbs won’t work right, because the breadcrumbs always point to official pages.

There are also several special features that are only available on an official page, and with future releases of Web Manager, there will be more special features for official pages.

So, if your main page content is not on your official page, contact Jason Pope at jdpope@liberty.edu in Web Content & Design for help rearranging your content so that all your pages will function correctly.
