Susan Cook – M.S., LPC-S, NCC
Susan Cook graduated from Longwood University in 1995, Summa Cum Laude, Valedictorian, with a B.S. in Psychology and endorsement in Education. In 1997, she earned an M.S. degree in College & Community Counseling from Longwood University. In 1998, she earned an endorsement in School Counseling. In May of 2014, she became an LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor, with National Board-Certified Counselor credential, NCC.
She has nineteen years of experience as a school counselor, as well as experience as a teacher at all levels ranging from kindergarten through college. She served as an adjunct instructor at John Tyler Community College from 2013-2018. She has worked as an LPC in private practice since 2014. She is the President-Elect of the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, which is a division of the Virginia Counselors Association.
Susan strives to inspire clients to create positive lifestyle changes for optimal health and wellness. She believes in the importance of resiliency, hope, and perseverance through adversity. She is a compassionate counselor who seeks to help clients find their unique purpose.
