Educational Requirements
According to the Vermont Department of Education:
The state of Vermont offers the following endorsements.

Vermont offers Special Educator (K-age 21) and Career Technical Education Special Needs Coordinator (Grade 7- age 21).
Students will need to obtain their Virginia license first to qualify for reciprocity.

Reciprocity
Eligibility for licensure through reciprocity is determined by meeting requirements under the rules of reciprocity per the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) Interstate Agreement. If you are applying for licensure through reciprocity from or through a recommendation from an education preparation program in New Mexico or South Dakota, please contact a licensing specialist at aoe.licensinginfo@vermont.gov, as rules regarding reciprocity with these states is in the process of changing.
